1. These terms
These Terms & Conditions explain how you may use WattaQuote and what our service does. By using the website, submitting a quote request or registering as an installer, you agree to these terms.
2. WattaQuote’s role
WattaQuote is operated by Chetankumar Vakharia, trading as WattaQuote, and is an enquiry and quote-matching website for EV charger installation enquiries across London, Kent and nearby areas.
We do not carry out EV charger installation work directly and we are not responsible for installing, surveying, repairing or maintaining EV chargepoints.
We may share suitable customer enquiries with independent EV charger installers or service providers so they can contact the customer and provide a quote. Any survey, quote, installation contract, payment, warranty, workmanship, aftercare or complaint about installation work is agreed directly between the customer and the installer.
3. Customer quote requests
When you submit a quote request, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that we may contact you and share your enquiry with suitable installers or partners for quote purposes.
There is no payment to request quotes through WattaQuote.
You are not required to accept any quote you receive.
Check installer credentials, pricing, warranty, grant eligibility and terms before proceeding.
4. Installers and partner providers
Partner installers may include OZEV-approved, NICEIC or NAPIT registered professionals. However, customers must always confirm the installer’s credentials, insurance, qualifications, pricing, warranty, grant eligibility and installation terms directly before agreeing to any work.
Installers must provide accurate business details, contact information, coverage areas, qualifications, accreditation status and service information. Installer registration does not guarantee approval, exclusivity, lead allocation, enquiry volume, conversion or revenue.
We may reject, suspend or remove any enquiry or installer registration where we reasonably believe the information is inaccurate, unsafe, misleading, unlawful or unsuitable.
5. Grants
Government EV charger grants of up to £500 may be available for eligible renters, flat owners, landlords and workplaces. Eligibility criteria apply.
Grant rules can change. Information on WattaQuote is general information only and is not legal, financial, tax, grant or electrical advice. You should check current official guidance and ask the installer to confirm what applies before proceeding.
6. Quotes, pricing and contracts
Any quote, survey, installation appointment, price, warranty, grant application, aftercare or contract is between the customer and the installer or provider. WattaQuote is not a party to that installation contract.
We do not guarantee that:
- a quote will be provided;
- any installer will accept the job;
- any price will be the cheapest or best available;
- installation will be completed within a particular time;
- any grant will be approved;
- the installer is suitable for your property or requirements.
7. Commercial arrangements
WattaQuote may receive a lead fee, referral fee, commission or other commercial benefit from installers or partners. This does not change the fact that quote requests are free and no-obligation for customers.
8. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for checking the suitability of any installer, charger, quote, installation method and grant application for your property and circumstances. If you rent or live in a flat, you may need landlord, freeholder, management company or planning permission.
9. Accuracy and acceptable use
You must not submit false, misleading, fraudulent, abusive or unlawful information through WattaQuote. You must not attempt to disrupt the website, introduce malware, scrape data, impersonate others, or use the website for unlawful purposes.
Installers must not claim qualifications, accreditations, coverage areas or services they do not genuinely hold or provide. We may remove or refuse registrations where we believe the information is inaccurate, unsafe or unsuitable.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, WattaQuote is not responsible for installer workmanship, surveys, quotes, pricing, appointments, delays, warranties, grant decisions, aftercare, loss of business, indirect losses or disputes between a customer and installer.
11. Complaints
If your complaint is about WattaQuote’s website, data handling or lead-routing process, email hello@wattaquote.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge and provide an initial response within 14 days.
If your complaint is about an installer, quote, workmanship, price, appointment, grant handling or installation result, please contact the installer directly.
12. Privacy and data protection
Our use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Notice and Data Protection & GDPR Policy.
13. Changes and law
We may update these terms from time to time. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any consumer rights that apply.
