This Privacy Notice explains how Chetankumar Vakharia, trading as WattaQuote, collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you use wattaquote.co.uk, request EV charger installation quotes, contact us, or register as an installer.

Lead-generation notice: WattaQuote helps route quote enquiries to suitable EV charger installers or partners. We do not install EV chargers and we do not control an installer’s quote, survey, pricing, appointment, grant handling, warranty or workmanship.

3. Personal data we collect

Customer details

Name, phone, email, postcode, property type, parking, installation need, vehicle details, timing and notes.

Installer details

Company name, contact name, email, phone, coverage area, accreditations and registration information.

Technical data

IP address, device/browser information, server logs, security events and basic website usage data.

We do not intentionally request special category data, such as health, ethnicity, religion, political opinions or biometric data.

5. Sharing enquiries with installers

When you submit a quote request, we may share your enquiry details with suitable independent EV charger installers or service providers covering your area. This may include your name, postcode, contact details, property type, parking situation, installation requirements, vehicle details, timing and any additional information you provide.

Installers use this information to contact you, assess your enquiry and provide a quote. Once your details are passed to an installer, that installer may act as an independent data controller for how they use your personal information. You should review the installer’s own privacy information if you proceed with them.

We may also use hosting, email, security, IT support and professional service providers to operate WattaQuote.

Installer responsibility: Complaints about an installer’s quote, survey, appointment, price, grant handling, installation, warranty, aftercare or workmanship should be raised directly with that installer. WattaQuote is only a lead-generation and quote-comparison service.

6. Direct marketing, analytics and cookies

We do not sell customer information for unrelated marketing. We may use basic website analytics to understand visits, page performance and form activity so we can improve WattaQuote.

If we introduce email marketing, SMS marketing, advertising pixels, remarketing or more advanced tracking, we will update this notice and use consent tools where required by UK GDPR and PECR rules.

Basic hosting logs and essential security records may be processed to keep the website secure and operational.

8. Your data rights

9. Complaints

If your complaint is about how WattaQuote handles your personal information, please email hello@wattaquote.co.uk first. We aim to acknowledge and provide an initial response within 14 days.

If your complaint is about an installer, quote, workmanship, pricing, appointment, grant handling or installation outcome, please contact the installer directly. WattaQuote is a lead-generation and quote-comparison service only.

We may update this notice as our service, partners, systems or legal requirements change.
